USC CAREER
  • Iuel was a 9-time All-American while at USC
     

  • She ranks 4th on USC’s all-time 400m H list, T-4th on its HJ list, 2nd in the heptathlon
     

  • Iuel came to USC as a walk-on without a clear event, thought she liked the hurdles...after a tryout she was grouped with the jumpers and then the heptathlon…and won the Pac-12 Heptathlon as a freshman in just her second multi-event competition…also won Pac-12 Heptathlon in 2016
     

  • 2017 NCAA Championships…3rd in the 400m H & 2nd in the 4x400m relay with set the USC record with a time of 3:23.35; Ran on 5 of USC’s top 10 4x400m relays
     

  • 2016 NCAA Championships…10th in the 400m H, 8th in the 4x400m relay
     

  • 2016 Pac-12 Field Athlete of the Year
     

  • 2015 NCAA Championships…7th in the 400m H, 2nd in the 4x400m relay

  • Owns the Norway record in the 400m H (54.72) and in the 400m (51.81)

  • 2015 set the Danish and Norwegian U23 record in the 400m H…officially received her Norwegian citizenship and switched allegiance to compete for Norway in June.

PERSONAL
  • Her parents are Lars Christian and Tinna Iuel…Amalie was born in Denmark and raised in Norway, with stops in Namibia, Pakistan, Dubai and Thailand as her father’s job in the telecommunications industry required the family to move around.
     

  • Amalie graduated high school from the International School in Bangkok
