  • Coming into USC as a 2012 Olympian, Espar was one of four eventual 2016 Olympians — from four different countries — on USC’s 2013 NCAA Championship team: Espar (ESP), Flora Bolonyai (HUN), Hannah Buckling (AUS) and Kaleigh Gilchrist (USA)
     

  • Was the second leading scorer at the 2012 Olympic Games
     

  • 2012 Best European Water Polo Player
     

  • Her father, Xesco, was a professional handball player, and her mother, Anna, has been an ultra-marathon runner
     

  • Sister, Clara, played water polo at San José State and is also on the 2020 Spanish Olympic roster.
