  • 2018…October 20…made NBA debut off the bench and scored 2 points , had 2 rebounds and a block in 3 minutes vs. Portland
     

  • 2018…Drafted by San Antonio on June 21 with the 49th overall selection…played on their summer league team
     

PERSONAL:
  • Parents are Florence and James Metu
     

  • Metu was born and mostly raised in Lawndale, Calif. but moved to Nigeria for parts of six years at the age of six, before returning for good
     

  • While at Lawndale HS was named the John R. Wooden Award winner as the CIF Southern Section Division II Player of the Year as he averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks and led them to the 2AA finals
