CAREER 
  • She placed 28th in both the 10-meter air pistol and 25-meter sporting pistol events at the 2012 Olympics in London 
     

  • She just missed making the 2016 USA Olympic team, coming up one point short in the Olympic Trials in 25-meter sport pistol despite just having pins removed from three broken fingers in her shooting hand, including her trigger finger 
     

  • Her best finish in a World Championship was eighth in 2010 in the 10-meter air pistol 
     

  • She has medaled at 15 National Championships and five Pan American Games 
     

  • Recently, she won a gold medal at the 2019 Pan American Games in the 25-meter sport pistol and won a gold medal at the 2018 Championships of the Americas in the team 10-meter air pistol, a silver in the mixed team air pistol and a bronze in the 25-meter sport pistol 

 

PERSONAL 
  • She is a native of Singapore and moved to America at age six 
     

  • The first time she fired a weapon was in Army basic training 
     

  • She is a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve (medical logistic specialist) at Fort Benning, Ga. 
     

  • She has more than 20 years of service in the U.S. Army National Guard, U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, U.S. Navy Reserve and now U.S. Army Reserve 
     

  • She was deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 
     

  • Her husband is Eric Uptagrafft, who competed for the USA in shooting at the 1996 and 2012 Olympics 
     

  • She and her husband own a precision engineering company in Ladonia, Ala.
